KeymasterIs it possible to add some features to the issue tracker system?
Like add a column in List of Issues, to indicate who issued the case? For example, this issue “Improvements to Issue Tracker System” would be Created By Michelle Brazas on August 18, 2015
Could we also add the features of the person who issued the case to be notified when a comment to their case has been added? For example, I could “watch” my case to see what is happening in it.Thanks,

MemberI’ve added column ‘Issued by’ in the list of cases.
Also, with this comment I’m testing mail notifications.September 3, 2015 at 10:52 am #1445Carlos Horro
MemberI’ve changed email’s format to html for a better appearance and to include links inside.
Also, with this comment I’m testing it.September 3, 2015 at 1:47 pm #1446Michelle Brazas
KeymasterCool. This appears to be working.
I was not logged into GOBLET when i clicked on the link in the html email. It brought me directly to the issue and comments. However if I wanted to add this comment, then I had to log in. After logging in though, I was not brought back to the issue – that would be a nice feature: to return to the page you were on when you had to log in.
I notice on this page here though, that it seems I can do more than add a comment to the existing issue. I wonder if this would confuse users? Could we hide the box (above) titled “Case Information” when communicating about an issue? For example, in this issue, I just need to comment here and not open a new case.
I also like that you have added the “Notifications” box below so that I can add a comment but it does not notify everyone if I check the box. Very nice.
Another feature to consider in this improvement of the issue tracker is the ability of the issuer and assigner to add files like screenshots of problems. Not mandatory, but it would be a nice feature to have.September 11, 2015 at 1:18 pm #1447Carlos Horro
MemberI’m working in the redirection you talked about. I hope I can have it finished next week.
About the ‘Case information’ box, I’m not sure if it’s problematic, but I’m afraid that some aspects of our present functionality doesn’t allow to be modified easily, and I haven’t found the way to hide it yet…
In the other hand, the ‘Case information’ box allows you, in every comment you do, to modify the issue status. For example, I use it always that I’ve solved one issue and I want to set its status to ‘Resolved’.
About last point, I’ve added the functionality of uploading files with comments. I think anyone can do interesting contributions, and because of that for now I haven’t included restrictions to file uploading. We can do it later if you want…September 11, 2015 at 2:52 pm #1448Michelle Brazas
KeymasterCarlos – Okay. I agree that you want to be able to close an issue or move up its priority. I just want to make sure that one is not confused about whether this is a new issue or a comment to the existing issue. I know it is the existing issue. If you find a solution later, you can add it then.
So this should be fine and you can close the issue.

MemberHi Michelle
I’ve added the redirection that you had asked in your first comment. Now, when you try to access some page without been logged into the system, you will be asked about your identity, and later you will access to the page you wanted before.
By the way, I’ve added other little functionality that can be useful. Now, you can login into mygoblet.org using both your email or your user name, with your password. I think email is easier to remind than username, and some people tried to use their email instead their user name in the past…September 17, 2015 at 5:30 pm #1450Michelle Brazas
KeymasterCarlos,
I am not sure this redirect is working. In trying to add this comment to this issue, starting from the email notification, this is what happened:
I clicked on the link in the email and it went to the issue and comments
I could not add comments so I had to login
I logged in, but was redirected to my personal page and not the issue page
I had to go find the issue page to add this comment
