We are excited to share highlights from the 6th Annual Global Bioinformatics Education Summit (GBES), which took place from May 20-22, 2024. For the first time in the United States, the summit was held in New York Genome Center.

During the welcoming remarks and overview session, GOBLET’s previous chair Celia Van Gelder presented the current status and recent activities of our organization. This presentation underscored GOBLET’s continuous efforts to advance bioinformatics education globally, showcasing our achievements and outlining future initiatives.

We thank the organisers and participants of GBES 2024 for the valuable discussions and sharing on bioinformatics learning, education, and training.
