The GOBLET Executive Board is pleased to offer a Travel Fellowship scheme for members attending the 8th Annual Global Bioinformatics Education Summit (GBES2026), to be held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India from 28 September to 2 October 2026 under the theme “Global community integration for sustainable development in life sciences”.

GBES2026 runs this year alongside iCOBLET2026, the 3rd International Colloquium on Bioinformatics Learning, Education and Training, both hosted with Bioclues.org in conjunction with the Indian Conference on Bioinformatics (InBix2026). The GOBLET Annual General Meeting 2026 sits within iCOBLET2026 and will be held on 30 September 2026, 16:00 to 17:30 IST (UTC+5:30), in hybrid format.

GOBLET has partnered with the Summit since its inception and has supported member attendance at earlier editions. This year is the first in India and the first with iCOBLET co-located.

The Board has allocated USD 3,000 in total. Award values are not fixed: individual amounts will be determined once all requests are in, taking into account the costs involved and other funding held. Awards are contributions towards costs and will not normally cover them in full. The fund is directed at airfare, accommodation, ground travel or registration for in-person participation.
